SunGard Launches Regulatory, Risk Practice

SunGard has launched a regulatory and risk consulting practice as part of its Wealth Management Global Services. The new practice aims to help organizations analyze business practices, staff competencies, technology platforms and third party arrangements to assess readiness and address gaps within compliance and risk programs, and technology and data infrastructures. “Within the coming years, financial services institutions will continue to face a multitude of regulatory and accounting changes,” said Melissa Cullen, executive vice president for SunGard’s wealth management business. “At the same time they will need to control systemic, counterparty and financial risk, and increase efficiencies and service.” In December of last year, SunGard said it was to integrate Dow Jones Adviser service into its WealthStation wealth management platform to give users access to wealth management news and information featured on the firm's various websites.
